HD - Yet another new boyfriend

May 21st, 2008 · 5 Comments

I have a new boyfriend.  Ben Barnes.

Guh. Just look at that boy. Here are some more photos of him to salivate over.

Seriously? Ben? I’m single, easy, and totally yours. You say the world, and I will fly my ass over seas and be yours. Just sayin’. You know. In case he’s reading.

What? You never know!

He played the very sexy Prince Caspian in the new Chronicles of Narnia series.

God I love a man in leather with a sword. You never meet guys like that these days.

But I gotta tell you, this guy was not only amazingly hot, he played a fantastic Prince Caspian. The movie was fantastic. Eddie Izzard was great as Reepicheep, the kid who plays Edmund hit puberty and is getting quite cute, and his character was expanded nicely as well. The changed made through out were necessary, and didn’t go too far against what was going on in the book.

The only thing that could have made it better, Desiree and I agreed, was if they could have some how fit in a shirtless Prince Caspian. I mean, they’re fighting battles for fucks sake, there has got to be a way to get the shirt off.  Maybe shirtless sword fight practice? Caspian and Peter strip to the waist and go at it. Aw yeah. I’d pay to see that.

Ah well. Ben Barnes and all the other actors are signed on for the Voyage of the Dawn Treader coming out in 2010.  I’ll so be there.

Yes. He was exceptionally hot. And Reepicheep rocked my socks (as both Reepicheep and Eddie Izzard are wont to do *sigh*). But…NO BACCHUS. Why no Bacchus? And no maenads? And no boys turning into pigs? And no water into wine?

I think I get waaaaay too attached to the Narnia stories - as some folks are with LoTR, so I am with Narnia. That is to say…a big ol’ snob. Oy.
But, yes. I would devour Ben Barnes whole, regardless of the complaints I have about the film. :P

Saw the movie last night and I must admit, he’s a pretty man.

@Lorra - I’m sure there’s enough of him to share, lols.

@Rona - huh. I should start going to more RennFairs then….

@Joy - I find it funny that pagans like us are more attached to Narnia than the Christians it was directed at.
I was sad at the exclusion of Bacchus, but from what I read the director thought he wasn’t a reference people today would get, and he’s probably right. Most people have no idea who Bacchus and the Maenads are.
However, I’m pretty happy with the movies so far. Ben Barnes. Good choice. Yum. Yum. Yum.
