“They’re trying to make nudity at San Onofre illegal” - California Catholic Daily

Dude. Why do people make such a big deal out of some naked people? Look at this: “Last year, according to the Orange County Register, a man was arrested for the alleged sexual molestation of a 12-year-old girl near the beach.

Right. Near the beach. So, if I got molested near McDonald’s, would people think being near McDonald’s caused the molestation? People - nudists don’t want to molest kids. They just want to be naked. From what I’ve seen of nudists, they police that kind of behaviour pretty sternly. I mean, they don’t *want* to be associated with child molesters in any way. They just want to be naked at the beach.

The Science of Sarcasm (Not That You Care) - NYT

“There was nothing very interesting in Katherine P. Rankin’s study of sarcasm — at least, nothing worth your important time. All she did was use an M.R.I. to find the place in the brain where the ability to detect sarcasm resides. But then, you probably already knew it was in the right parahippocampal gyrus.”
