First of all, I must apologize to Babeland for taking so long to write up this review. Alas, life and pre-surgical testing have been kicking my ass, and making writing about sex a second in my life. I hate when that happens. You’d think testing sex toys would make for a good distraction from medical problems!
Anyway, The Eco-Sexy kit is a fun little kit that is perfect for on the go sexy times for you and your lover…or just yourself! It comes with everything you need for a fun time. Lube, a vibrator, a massage candle, and condoms. You’re all ready to set up a sexy evening to seduce yourself or your lover.
First of all, there is the massage candle. They have a variety of scents, and the ladies at Babeland were nice enough to send me one that is a combination of two of my favourite things - chocolate, and hazelnuts!
Why is this candle both ‘eco’ and ’sexy’? Well, the only two ingredients are fragrance and soy wax! The soy wax is both the eco and the sexy - vegetarian wax that turns into a massage oil! The scent i also wonderful - I have the candle burning for scene as I’m writing this. It is subtle and yummy - things I know I want in a candle. I hate candle smells that overpower a room! And did I mention it comes in the box with a packet of Babeland matches? Yup, ready to go, right out of the box! No fumbling for matches in the dark.
When I finally had a room full of lovely scent, and a nice bit of oil wax, I poured it over my legs and gave myself a thorough leg massage. The wax was just hot enough that I squirmed a bit, and when it hit my skin, it felt like the paraffin wax they use at beauty salons. It smoothed over my legs, and made a *very* nice massage oil - and afterwards, my legs felt moisturized!
The only things I didn’t like were that when I blew the candle out, the wick smelled a little icky. The other was that my legs felt and smelled delicious, but when I took a lick, the wax didn’t taste nearly as good as it smelled, though I suppose that is to be expected. :)
Then we have the Emerita Natural Lubricant - let me tell you something, I was super happy with this lube, and you all know how much of a whore I am for Babelube - that I liked something else is *amazing*! This is all even more amazing when you realize that Emerita contains glycerin, which usually sends me running and screaming for the hills.
I gave it a shot though, and found I really dig the Emerita. The glycerin didn’t do anything funky to my vag, and the other surprise ingredient, Vitamin E, made my cunt feel nice! In fact, I’ve also been using it, as sugested on their website, during my period. I hate to sound like a commercial, but it *does* relieve the dryness that I sometimes get during and after my period. (Especially this week, as I forgot my Diva cup while traveling and have to use tampons!)
Emerita has become my travel lube of choice - a little bit goes a long way, and it comes in a small, purse sized bottle. And I like knowing that this is lube made by and for women, and that its made to keep my vagina happy!
All that aside, it makes a *fantastic* sexual lubricant as well - I’ve been using it to pop in my smart balls, and with my Crystal Wand dildo - it makes for a smooth, slick ride that lasts. Yum!
Ah, now we get to my favourite part of any kit - the Vibrator!
The Eco-Sexy kit comes with a Laya spot vibrator, made by Fun Factory, who’s toys I’m starting to fall in love with! They have fun, brightly coloured toys, clever packaging, great materials, and, well…they work!
The Laya spot was much smaller than I had imagined at first. She fits comfortably in the palm of your hand, and fits perfectly over your pubic mound, as she was designed to. And for a toy that runs on two tripple A batteries, she packs quite a punch!
She’s also simple to use. To turn the Laya spot on, you press the button with the plus sign. To turn her up, continue pressing the plus sign, and the minus sign to make her go lower. To cycle through her different modes, you turn her up as high as she can go, and then press and hold the plus sign a few seconds to get to her vibrating cycles, of which there are three. To turn the pulsation modes off, just press and hold the minus sign, and continue holding it down to turn the Laya spot completely off.
I had lots of fun with this toy - I find I quite like tucking her away over my pubic mound, and letting her run while I watch porn or read a sexy book, and then switch her out for a bullet vibe to get off, putting her back to keep me primed and ready for another round in a few minutes. And while I havn’t had the chance to try her during sex yet, it is quite apparent that she will be a perfect fit between me and a partner during missionary position sex. We’ll see if she can get me off that way.
Alas, the only product from this kit I haven’t had the chance to test yet are the Mambo condoms. Cure my lack of partnered sex! As soon as I have some, I’ll let ya’ll know what I think of these condoms. :)
Over all, I really really love the Eco-Sexy Kit! Its definitely worth the purchase, and I know I’m going to continue buying and using the lube and candle that comes with this, and the Laya spot? Yum! Go forth, my crunchy friends, and try the Eco-Sexy Kit!
