We were in a little outdoor nook near the pool when one of the most amazing things I’ve seen at camp happened. Anon had a towel tossed around his neck, and while we were talking, a butterfly landed on it, right on his shoulder.
I was actually struck stupid for a few second, because I’d never seen a butterfly land on a person before.
“Oh my god, look! A butterfly!” I was quiet, not wanted to scare it away. I pointed towards it, close by. As we both stared at it, he butterfly walked off the towel and on to my finger.
It was pretty, yellow and black, and rather small. I stared at the butterfly standing on my finger in wonderment, turning my hand around to see it better. It stayed for a few more moments, and then flew away and disappeared. I never saw which way it flew off, and I didn’t see a single other butterfly that weekend.
The whole experience couldn’t have lasted two minutes, if it lasted that long, but I’ll remember it for years.

Heh. I’ve had lots of butterflies land on me, but that was at a special butterfly event, so it probably doesn’t count. :)

yes I am afraid you are right, I looked up the rules for butterfly contact and sorry Victor it doesn’t count.
